Ludovic Guillot-Diat (FRA) took his first FWT win with an exhilarating run, leapfrogging him above the rest of the field to take the first spot in the overall rankings. Ludo navigated some exposure early in his run and sent it large off a cliff to exit, before stomping multiple airs and a huge backflip.

The snowboard women category went off today, with all athletes delivering fluid, clean runs. Katie Anderson (CAN) made it two wins in a row, extending the gap in the overall rankings and making her the one to beat this season. The Canadian stacked her run with features and fluidity, throwing in a couple of grabs to bring in the freestyle element and a big air mid-run to show her freeride expertise.

FWT21 runner-up, Katie Anderson (CAN), found a playful line, linking multiple airs and grabs with incredible board control, before cruising through the lower powder field with style.

Michael Mawn (USA) took the win for the second consecutive year with a strong technical line. He threaded the needle at the top of the course, airing into a tight couloir, which threw him out at high speed into the face. He then sent multiple critical airs while maintaining complete control of the board under his feet.

Europe’s premium freestyle event celebrated a premiere, for the first time ever Freeskiers were part of the event. The FIS World Cup made its first guest appearance at the LAAX OPEN 2023 with two sport disciplines – snowboarding and freesking. From 19th to 22th April, the Kitzsteinhorn Snowpark in Zell am See-Kaprun (AUT) was the venue for the Austrian & German Masters, which took place again after a two-year break.
